About Manna Storehouse

Our Vision & Mission

Manna Storehouse in Weatherford, Texas, was established in 1985 as an all-volunteer, non-profit organization to assist Parker County residents in need. It provides food, clothing, utility, and prescription assistance, operating primarily on donations from the community and partnerships with local businesses and churches. Its mission is to help individuals and families sustain a dignified life, and all its work is performed by volunteers, with no paid staff.
Establishment: Manna Storehouse was founded in 1985 and is one of Parker County’s oldest volunteer-run organizations.

Mission: Our mission is to help those in need by providing supplemental food, utility and prescription assistance, clothing, and household items.
Operations: We are an all-volunteer organization that relies on donations from the community to operate. It serves families in Parker County, distributing food monthly, clothing up to four times a year, and other goods as needed.
Community Involvement: Manna Storehouse partners with local churches and businesses and receives donations from community members and events. We also work with Eagle Scout candidates on community projects.
Financials: Our funds come from community donations, with some items sold at bimonthly garage sales to raise money for its programs.

Acceptable Donation Items

Clothing and Linens: Clean and in good condition.
Furniture: Must be in good repair, not ripped, stained, or excessively worn. Flat-screen televisions are accepted.
Community Involvement: Manna Storehouse partners with local churches and businesses and receives donations from community members and events. We also work with Eagle Scout candidates on community projects.
Household Goods: Kitchen supplies, dishes, home décor, and small working appliances.

Items Not Accepted

Furniture: Ripped, stained, or broken furniture, as well as composite board furniture that is damaged.
Electronics: Televisions (except for flat screens), computers, and monitors over five years old.
Large Appliances: Refrigerators, washers, dryers, and stoves over five years old.
Bedding: Used mattresses and box springs, unless they are new. Bedding must be clean and free of stains or tears.
Hazardous Materials: Flammable or combustible items.
Other specific items: Including used bathtubs/toilets, swing sets, wire clothes hangers, hospital beds, and pianos/organs.
